2008 Summer Reading Requirements
SENIORS
Interpreting
and Essentials Courses:
Read
Night by Elie Wiesel. Take the twenty-five question, multiple choice
test on Night in September and be prepared to discuss the text in
class. Teachers expect that you will
have read the book and, therefore, will not need extra time to read it during
the semester.
AP English:
In
place of the above, read Antigone by Sophocles, Ceremony by
Leslie Marmon Silko, and Invisible
Man by Ralph Ellison. Be prepared to discuss all books in class. Also,
complete the note taking and writing requirement that will be explained to you
at a required June, after-school, informational meeting.
