THE J.C.C. – CHILDREN AT PLAY (CAP) PROGRAM

 

 

Transportation Policy:

 

For all students registering for the CAP program who are in need of transportation services to or from school:

 

  1. You must also register your student for transportation services through the East Longmeadow Public Schools.  If the student is in K-6 and lives less than 2 miles from the school he/she attends, then the following fees apply:

 

    1. To and from school - $270 per year
    2. To or from Mapleshade or Mt. View Schools to attend the CAP program - $90 per year.

 

  1. The East Longmeadow Public Schools allows for only one designated bus stop to and one designated bus stop from school for all five days per week.  i.e., Students will not be allowed to ride from Mapleshade or Mt. View schools to go to CAP on 3 days per week and then home on the other 2 days.  This is in line with our Safe Schools Practice for driver routes and familiarity with students on those routes.

 

  1. The buses that leave Mapleshade or Mt. View schools do a bus route on the way to Meadow Brook School.  This is not a direct shuttle to Meadow Brook.

 

  1. Meadow Brook students who are registered to ride on the bus from school in the afternoon must make arrangements with the school if they are going to stay for CAP in the afternoon on some days.
