Text Box: Lesley University is starting a new one-weekend-a-month Master's Degree program at Birchland Park Middle School.  It will begin the weekend of September 23rd and there is still time to take advantage of this terrific opportunity! 

M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction 
Specialization in Literacy: Language, Reading and Writing (leads to professional licensure in Early Childhood or Elementary Education)

This degree program trains experienced elementary, middle and high school teachers to be aware of a range of issues and ideas, and to use a variety of methods and strategies that are central to teaching students to read, write, speak and listen across the grades. The course work provides educators with a foundation in current theoretical models related to literacy learning and its application across diverse populations of students. Participants in the program will also enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of curriculum development for the language arts as well as how to connect the language arts and other disciplines.
