WELCOME TO EAST LONGMEADOW

We in municipal government are happy to have the opportunity to serve new residents as they become acquainted with East Longmeadow. We hope the following information will contribute to an easy adjustment for you.

The Town Hall is located on the rotary at 60 Center Square. Residents may come to the Town Hall to obtain a number of services pertaining to the Town Clerk/Treasurer/Collector among which are to register for voting, obtain marriage licenses and copies of various documents as well as fishing and hunting licenses.

Dogs over six months old are required to be licensed in East Longmeadow. Dog tags and licenses are available for the coming year as of January 2^nd and a current rabies certificate and proof of spaying or neutering must be shown before the dog will be licensed. After May 31^st, a late fee will be charged.

Real estate and personal property tax bills are due and payable semi-annually on or about November 1^st and May 1^st and residents are responsible for the payment of said bills whether or not they actually receive a bill in the mail. If a tax bill is not received as projected it is advisable for the taxpayer to contact the office of the Town Collector to ascertain the amount due. Motor vehicle excise tax bills are due within 30 days of the date of mailing and water and sewer bills are due and payable within 30 days of mailing. After the due date on these bills, fees and interest will be charged.
