This year the Council received twenty-nine grant applications for a total of $22,800.00.  The 2002 Massachusetts Cultural Council award came to $6,380.00.  We also received a "Matching Funds Incentive Award" from the State for $500.00.  This is the sixth year in a row that we have received this award.  This award enables our Council to allocate monies over and above our regular allotment.  In addition, there was $785.00 from FY01 grant awards that was unused which we added to this years grant money for a total of $7,730.00.

All applications were reviewed and discussed at length for consideration.  Based on community benefit and council guidelines, a total of eleven LCC Grants and three PASS grants were awarded to individuals and organizations this year.
