Chess Club for Young Adults
at the East Longmeadow Library


Chess Club for young adult chess enthusiasts will begin on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. The club will be led by Mr. Haven Williams who will provide chess instruction. This club will meet twice a month on Wednesdays, October through April. A schedule of club dates will be provided at the first meeting on October 1st and are also posted below.  The club is divided into two sessions; the first session for teens (ages 13 – 18) will meet from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. The second session for tweens (ages 9 – 13) will meet from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Chess club meets in the library community room. Teens and tweens who are interested in learning and playing chess should call the library to register. Teens should call the Library Information Desk at (413) 525-5400, x158 and tweens should call the Children’s Room at x156.

Chess Club dates: December 3 & 17, January 7 & 21, February 4 & 18, March 4 &18, April 1 & 15.
