Board of Selectmen Meeting

Tuesday, June 28, 2005, 5:00 p.m.

PRESENT:  John Claffey, Chairman, Board of Selectmen; Gary DeLisle, Clerk of the Board. 

ABSENT:  James Driscoll, Chairman, Board of Health

APPOINTMENTS

 

5:00 p.m.  The BOS met with Representatives from the Fire, Police and Town Hall Employee Unions to discuss personnel matters relative to the Fiscal Year 2006 budget.

 

Motion At this time, G. DeLisle moved the BOS enter into Executive Session to discuss personnel issues with Union representatives; and to return to Open Session upon completion of Executive Session business.  J. Claffey seconded out of necessity.  Motion approved.

 

The BOS reconvened in Open Session at 7:23 p.m.

 

BOARD OF SELECTMEN: *

 

  1. Trash Issues and updates:  a.) Contract;  b.) Performance Bond:  must be licensed to business in Massachusetts; must be stated in their bond; c.) Blue Bins; d.) Additional business *

N. Breault gave the BOS progress reports on various aspects of the new trash program.

 

  1. Independence Day:  a.) Banner Carriers for BoS  NO; b.) Start time and place; * 

Action:  the BOS directed N. Breault to ask C. Ohlin to consider letting the service veterans have a bus instead of having to march.

 

TOWN COUNSEL: *
