NEWS RELEASE:

 

The East Longmeadow Board of Selectmen has announced that it will conduct its

 

Fifteenth Annual “Pause for the Pledge of Allegiance” Ceremony beginning at 6:30

 

P.M., at the rear of the Fire Station on Monday, June 14, 2004.  Following the Pledge, a

 

Flag Burning Ceremony will be conducted with representatives from the Sisto Lombardi

 

Post No. 64, Italian American War Veterans and the Gunther-Rowley Post No. 293,

 

American Legion present.  Residents are urged to bring old American Flags that they wish

 

to dispose of to the new designated drop-off box located at the corner of Crane Avenue and

 

Legion Court, or at the Selectmen’s Office, Town Hall, before 4 P.M. on Friday, June 11,

 

2004, so that they may be properly disposed of during the Flag burning event.

 

Residents are encouraged to attend both the Pledge Ceremony and the Flag Burning

 

Ceremony.
