EAST LONGMEADOW LOOKS FOR OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

 

 

The Town of East Longmeadow is looking for citizen members for a newly constituted committee, The Open Space Committee, to act in an advisory capacity to the Board of Selectmen on those matters involving the use, change of use, alteration and/or change of condition of any open space requested in writing to the Board of Selectmen. 

 

This Committee was formally established by the Town at the 2004 Annual Town Meeting and shall replace the ad hoc Open Space Committee previously appointed by the Board of Selectmen.  The new Open Space Committee will consist of seven (7) members although several subcommittees are also expected to be named. 

 

The Selectmen welcome any resident who has an interest in this matter and would like to make a contribution to their community.  Anyone interested in becoming a member should submit a letter of interest to the Board of Selectmen at 60 Center Square, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 or email Leon Gaumond Jr., Executive Secretary, at lgaumond@eastlongmeadow.org.  Letters of interest should be submitted prior to June 4, 2004.
