The Board of Selectmen announced today that it has set a date for a Special Town Meeting. The Special Town Meeting will be Monday, October 17, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the East Longmeadow High School Auditorium. The Board set the meeting in response to a petition asking the Town to consider amending a zoning ordinance “…by adding congregate elderly and handicapped housing…to corresponding sections of the ordinance in which assisted living is permitted…”
The deadline to
submit additional petition items for consideration as Warrant Articles for this
meeting is Friday, September 23, 2005 at 12:00 o’clock noon. Petitions must be submitted to the Board of
Selectmen’s Office,
