WASTE REDUCTION INFORMATION LINE ACTIVATED

The Town of East Longmeadow’s Waste Reduction Information Line has been activated. Residents may dial extension 106 on the main number for Town Hall,

(413) 525-5400, to learn about the new waste reduction program. The message will include information on program specifics, recycling weeks and how to contact the Town’s new hauler, Central Mass Disposal, Inc. Residents may also leave a message if they still have a question that has not been answered.

Residents are reminded that this week, June 27-July 1, 2005 is the final week that Waste Management will pickup in East Longmeadow. Waste Management will pickup trash through Friday, July 1, 2005. Due to the Independence Day Holiday falling on Monday, July 4, 2005, Central Mass Disposal will begin pickup on Tuesday, July 5, 2005. Pickup on the 5^th will be for those residences that normally have Monday pickup. Central Mass Disposal will pickup Tuesday’s trash on Wednesday, and so on through the week. Friday’s trash will be picked up on Saturday. Central Mass Disposal will resume normal pickup on Monday, July 11, 2005.
