Board of Selectmen
Monday, November 27, 2006 6:30 p.m.
Selectmen’s Conference Room, East Longmeadow Town Hall
PRESENT: James Driscoll, Chairman, Board of Selectmen
(BOS);
J. Driscoll opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates.
J. Driscoll referred to four candidates out of the nine received that appeared to be best qualified for the position and suggested that the ES contact them to set up interviews at the next available meeting. J. Townshend agreed with this strategy.
Motion J. Townshend moved that the BOS direct
The Board of Selectmen met with the Department Heads under its authority to discuss personnel evaluation. The following list was the original schedule for the meetings:
6:30 Rosalind Clark, COA Director. (Did not attend; excused.)
6:50 Dan Hellyer, Building Commissioner. (Switched time with Sandra Choquette.)
7:10 P. Robert Wallace, Fire Chief.
7:30 Carolyn Porter, Recreation Director.
7:50 Thomas Florence, Clerk/Treasurer/Collector.
8:10 Sandra Choquette, Accountant. (Switched time with Dan Hellyer.)
8:30 Douglas Mellis, Police Chief.

Each Department Head was given the opportunity to enter into executive session. Sandra Choquette was the only one that held her meeting in open session; all others were in executive. The ES did not sit in on any of the Department Heads meetings except for his own. No member of the public came to the meeting. The BOS directed the ES to maintain the audio tape recording as the minutes for this meeting.
Motion J. Townshend moved the BOS adjourn the meeting. J. Driscoll seconded out of necessity. Motion carried 2-0.
Meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
