Community Preservation Committee Members
Sought
The Board of Selectmen is accepting applications from residents interested in being appointed to the Community Preservation Committee. The new Committee will make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen regarding the disbursement of funds collected in accordance with the Community Preservation Fund.
The Community Preservation Committee and Fund were established with the passage of the Community Preservation Act by voters during the ballot election on April 11, 2006. The Community Preservation Fund will be used to enhance opportunities for the town to designate land for open space, recreation, historic and housing usages.
The Community Preservation Committee will be comprised of three at-large citizen appointments; and representatives from the Conservation Commission, Historic Commission, Planning Board, Board of Public Works, Recreation Commission, and Housing Authority.
Citizens
interested in being appointed to the Committee are asked to submit a letter of
