MUSIC PROGRAM DEMONSTRATION RESCHEDULED

The Board of Selectmen and the Cultural Council announce that a free demonstration of the Music Together program has been rescheduled. The free demonstration will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Red Schoolhouse on 35 School Street, East Longmeadow. The demonstration will last approximately one hour. Registration to attend the free demonstration is required.

The Music Together program is a music and movement program for infants and children to age 7, their parents and caregivers. It is a nationally known, research-based and applies the premise that children have the same capacity to learn music as they do to learn language. Taught by certified Music Together teacher Sondra Lewis, participants will enjoy a fun-filled hour that is experiential rather than performance based.

The free demonstration will be given to the public in anticipation of a full ten week course that is expected to start on April 17, 2006. A drawing will be held during the demonstration to give a scholarship to one East Longmeadow family for the full session.
