EAST LONGMEADOW HOUSING AUTHORITY NOMINEES SOUGHT

The Board of Selectmen is accepting applications for nominees for the Governor’s appointment to the East Longmeadow Housing Authority (ELHA). The ELHA was established in 1959 and offers priority housing to East Longmeadow residents and veterans. The ELHA provides housing for over 219 low-income residents. The ELHA also runs four housing programs consisting of Elderly, Congregate, Massachusetts Rental Voucher and Family. The ELHA board establishes policy and oversees the financial operations of the Authority.

The Board of Selectmen will review the applications of those residents interested in being appointed, conduct interviews, and then send its recommendation for the appointment to the Governor.

Residents interested in being considered for appointment to the ELHA must send a letter of interest and resume to: Nick Breault, Executive Secretary, C/o Board of Selectmen; 60 Center Square, East Longmeadow, MA 01028; or via email to: nbreault@eastlongmeadow.org.

Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, September 5, 2007.
