East Longmeadow Conservation Commission

Annual Report – 2005

During 2005 the Conservation Commission processed 12 Notices of Intent, 7 Determinations of Applicability, and 9 Certificates of Compliance. The Commission also worked with the Board of Selectmen to achieve the donation of a parcel of land in the industrial park for open space and recreation by WestMass Development Corporation. The Campbell Conservation Area in the Watchaug Meadows off Kibbe Road, which was previously donated by Donald Campbell, was dedicated. The Commission wishes to remind residents that any work within 100 feet of a wetland or 200 feet of any stream may need to be reviewed prior to the start of the work. The Commission is always willing to meet with residents to discuss potential projects.
